A fantastic sterling silver bangle bracelet from the Victorian (ca1880) era! This gorgeous piece is particularly wide and features?a raised repousse?design?decorating?the front surface. The pattern?incorporates two rows of pyramid studs?and a single row of raised balls travels along the center. Delicate beadwork and engraved detail adds further depth throughout the design. The bracelet is hinged and clasps on the side. Two?hallmarks?are?stamped on?the tongue of the clasp, which read "S&S" and "Sta." A striking?Victorian piece, the bracelet is rich in detail?and displays exemplary?craftsmanship. Worn alone or stacked with other complimentary bracelets, it would make a beautiful addition to any collection!
Measurements: The surface of the bracelet measures approximately 1" wide. The inside opening (where your wrist would rest) measures 2 1/4" wide and approximately 1 7/8" tall and would fit nicely on an average sized wrist.?
Condition: The overall condition of the bracelet is good. The clasp and hinge are secure, and there is no apparent damage to the raised pyramid stud design. A natural patina on the surface of the silver adds a darkened antique appearance, which is normal for a Victorian era piece and adds depth to the design. There is some irregularity in the shape of the bracelet, which is not perfectly symmetrical and shows some signs of previous wear and love.
